Rosewood’s goal was to build an environment that exceeded residents’ medical, personal and social needs, going beyond the regular offering of an Aged Care provider. It recognised that installing robust and scalable communications infrastructure was crucial to achieving this goal, both now and into the future. Rosewood was also looking for an integrated system to offer several additional benefits: streamlining processes for staff, reducing costs and enhancing efficiency, while providing better care to residents.
NCIS designed and installed a Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) IP transport layer at Rosewood. We customised this network to meet Rosewood’s immediate goals, but also built the communications infrastructure to enable extra room for growth and innovative additional services for the future. This new integrated network will integrate all Rosewood’s communications services into one simple, scalable and sustainable fibre system, creating a faster, more cost effective and efficient network.
